GNU Coreutils are a set of basic file, shell, and text manipulation utilities for the GNU operating system that are expected to exist on every operating system. Previously, they were offered as three individual packages: fileutils, sh-utils, and textutils.

Cette version ajoute le nouveau programme « numfmt » pour reformater les numéros.

« df » maintenant permet à l'utilisateur de définir la liste des colonnes à inclure dans la sortie, en permettant une sortie simultanée des champs bloc et d'inode.

« du » peut désormais limiter la sortie à certaines dimensions en utilisant "--seuil".

Beaucoup de corrections de bogues mineures et d'autres améliorations ont été apportées.
