The months that have passed since the initial release have seen numerous Tracker issues tackled to address things that have been reported broken, bent, or compromised in v.2.5. As well as a long list of bugfixes, a few minor improvements have been made.
L'objectif principal de Firebird 2.5 a été d'établir les bases d'une architecture de threading nouvelle qui est presque entièrement commune aux modèles Superserver, Classic et Embedded, la prise en synchronisation de niveau inférieur et la sécurité des threads en général. La gestion des utilisateurs est accessible via SQL CREATE / ALTER / DROP USER états, et les syntaxes pour ALTER VIEW et CREATE OR ALTER VIEW sont mises en œuvre. PSQL améliorations comprennent l'introduction des opérations autonomes et la possibilité d'interroger une autre base de données via EXECUTE STATEMENT.

The primary goal for Firebird 2.5 was to establish the basics for a new threading architecture that is almost entirely common to the Superserver, Classic, and Embedded models, taking in lower level synchronization and thread safety generally. User management is accessible through SQL CREATE/ALTER/DROP USER statements, and syntaxes for ALTER VIEW and CREATE OR ALTER VIEW are implemented. PSQL improvements include the introduction of autonomous transactions and the ability to query another database via EXECUTE STATEMENT.
Cette version corrige plusieurs bogues dans le noyau, l'API et des outils de ligne de commande. Les questions de sécurité avec le rôle d'admin et d'authentification ont été corrigées.

This release fixes various bugs in the core, API, and command line tools. Security issues with admin role and authentication were corrected.
Cette version corrige divers bugs. Le serveur peut cesser de répondre à un attachement client particulier dans certaines conditions. Il y aurait une petite fenêtre de temps pendant lequel le serveur distant reviendrait à ignorer la demande d'opération entrant qu'elle venait de recevoir et, par là, semblent bloquer l'application cliente. Le thread d'écoute resterait opérationnel, mais le client serait en attente de manière synchrone pour le paquet de réponse qui ne venait pas.

This release fixes various bugs. The server could stop responding to a particular client attachment under some conditions. There would be a small time window during which the remote server would ignore the incoming operation request it had just received and, thereby, seem to block the client application. The listener thread would remain operational, but the client would be synchronously waiting for the reply packet that would not come.
