Description du projet

Linux/IR is a project with the goal of implementing the IrDA protocol stack into the Linux kernel. IrDA is a standard for infrared communication between devices such as laptops, printers, PDAs, mobile phones, and LAN access points. LAN and printer support has been implemented, and the current release is quite stable. There are still a few problems. The IrDA layers that have been implemented are IrPHY, physical layer, stuffing and wrapping of frames, IrLAP, link layer, sliding windows and link access control, IrLMP, link management, multiplexing, IrIAS, information base, device discovery information, IrLPT, printer support, IrTTP, transport layer, flow control, IrLAN, LAN access, IrOBEX, and object exchange, so you can talk to your Palm III.
