LottaNZB aims to simplify and automate downloading of binary news from Usenet. You can tell it what to download using NZB files, which are created by many Usenet search engines. It integrates nicely with GNOME desktops, but is not limited to them, and uses the mature SABnzbd software as its foundation.

The proprietary unrar application used to extract completed archives isn’t no longer automatically installed. This version works around a bug in HellaNZB that causes post-processing of certain downloads to stop. In Ubuntu 9.10, all application toolbars are now more compact, which saves space on the screen. Visual appearance on Ubuntu 9.10 was confirmed to be correct. Many translations were updated.
