Description du projet

Six plays Hex, a game with very simple rules and deep tactical complexity. Two players, one with black and one with white pieces, alternate placing marks on a rhombic board of hexagonal cells. Black's goal is to connect the two opposite black sides of the board with black pieces. White's goal is to connect the white sides of the board with white pieces.

Playing strength is improved considerably. The advanced level opponent is a bit stronger than expert was before. As a display option, it is now possible to choose between "player swap" and "board swap". Boards with size up to 15 are supported. For 11x11 boards, there are more opening moves and a fine tuned swap table. This version won the hex tournament at the 2003 Computer Olympiad.
